Free school meals
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, they will automatically receive free school meals.
However, if you are on eligible benefits or your household income is below the Government threshold, your child's school can also get up to £1300 to support your child's education (this is called the Pupil Premium), but you must complete an application form for school to receive this support.
The Pupil Premium provides funding to support your child’s education which can include helping towards the cost of school trips, music fees etc.
Children in Year 3 to Year 6 may also be entitled to free school meals, if you are on eligible benefits or your household income is below the Government threshold.
Tyldesley Primary School meals are provided by Metrofresh.
