Meet the Teacher
Reception A love to read!
We are a 60 place Reception unit split in to two classes: Reception a and Reception b.
The teacher in Reception a is Mrs Metcalfe and the teachers in Reception b are Mrs Williams and Mrs Harding.
Mrs Williams is in class Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; Mrs Harding is in class Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Mrs Reed and Miss Brown are the teaching assistants in our Reception unit. Mrs Leece is also in Reception supporting children who need a little extra help.
We follow the EYFS curriculum , which is a play based curriculum. Play and exploration is fundamental to our classroom allowing children to learn by first hand experiences. Our classroom is full of artists, scientists, architects, mathematicians and sport stars.
On this page, we will be detailing and celebrating our learning with you and we cannot wait to share it all with you throughout the year.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PE is on a Monday and children will get changed in school.
