Year 5b

Welcome to Year 5B

Welcome to Year 5b where thirty-one wonderful  and enthusiastic pupils are led by Mrs Atkin and supported by Mrs Smith. We are ready for any challenges that come our way and strive to always try and do our best!

Our class has a varied mix of personalities and characters; we enjoy and are challenged by working individually, with a partner and in groups in order to facilitate and enhance our learning and love to discuss our learning and ask questions!

We have a love of animals and have a range of interests and talents in sports, music and art.

Our PE day is on a Friday. Please ensure that all earrings are removed or plasters are provided in order to cover them up and PE kits are in school.

All children have a school reading book and a library book that they will bring home each night. In Year 5, our expectations are that children read 4 times a week. Reading should be recorded in the reading record and these will be checked daily.

Spellings are given out on a Friday and will be tested on the following Friday. Children will bring their spelling books home to allow them to regularly practise their spellings.

(Please see the curriculum map for an overview of our learning this half-term and check dojo for regular updates and photographs)
