Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Personal, social and emotional development is made up of 3 key areas: self-regulation, managing self and building relationships.

PSHE within the EYFS classrooms.

Keeping ourselves healthy is a key priority within the EYFS department. This includes looking after our teeth. We brush our teeth every day.

Within the EYFS at Tyldesley Primary School, we use Scarf for our weekly PSHE lessons.

We love Harold helping us to understand why we are all special and how we can celebrate our differences!

Our weekly PSHE lessons are only a small part of the PSHE in action within our EYFS classrooms!

We often read PSHE based books developed by Scarf or we talk through differing scenarios to help us learn!

"To be a kind friend we could invite her to play with us" Olivia

"We could tell them not to call her names, as that is that kind!" Lottie

We also act out varying scenarios and decide how we can make situations better.

Acting out what we would do if:

* A child is feeling lonely and does not feel she can haev any friends or join in with their game.

"We could invite her to join in with us" Ollie.

(This is what the photographs show, it was fantastic acting!).
