Welcome to Year 5A
Welcome to Year 5A. We are a hardworking group of thirty Year 5 pupils led by Ms Smith, Mrs Smith and Mrs Pickering and we are ready for any challenge that comes our way.
We are really enjoying our class reader this term. It is called Stay where you are and then leave, written by John Boyne.
We will be writing a recount and a monologue as one of the main characters. Also we will using the text to write a letter and a description , which is part of our writing to entertain the reader.
Our maths topics for this term will be as follows: to identify and measure angles, convert units of measure plus translation and reflections of shape.
The unit of work for this term is Changing Me.
We are looking into rites of passage that mark important events in a person's life.
Year 5 will be learning more about the Romans and reasons for the invasions of Britain.
