Welcome from the Headteacher -Mr M McKenna
I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the children, their parents/carers, families, friends and members of the local community who are central to the life to Tyldesley Primary School. Our whole school community values the contribution every child brings to our school which makes our school a happy and engaging place to learn and work. Our mission statement is ‘Try Persevere Succeed’ and along with the Core values: Positivity, Aspiration, Togetherness, Honesty and Loyalty it underpins everything we do here at Tyldesley Primary.
We champion challenge and learning within a safe school environment where everyone is kind, considerate and respectful of each other. We want our children to be encouraged to explore ideas, reason, explain and justify their thinking. This will enable them to make informed decisions and facilitate life-long learning. I believe it will also contribute towards keeping them safe and promote citizenship skills along with British Values for life in modern Britain.
Our school has a positive reputation for embracing and celebrating every kind of achievement. This is reflected in our commitment to inclusion and unity. At all times we strive for the highest standards in all areas of the curriculum for all children. We welcome parents and carers as education partners so that we can place your child at the heart of our core purpose . We also welcome your involvement in all aspects of school life and invite you to join our Parent Teacher Association.
Thank you for choosing our school and I hope that our website provides you with a flavour of what our school has to offer you and your child. I always encourage parents and carers to come and visit us and talk to our staff, children and governors. Appointments can be made through the school office.
I am very proud to be the headteacher of Tyldesley Primary School. I value the supportive collaboration between home and school and I firmly believe that it is that partnership that ensures all our children achieve their potential.
