Week beginning 18th May
Positional Language - Using the posters provide you need to draw an alien in the correct place on the sheet.
Counting - You will need paint. Using your finger, print the correct number of stars the alien needs in the sky.
Counting and recording -
On each slide, the children will be asked to count the body parts on the alien. Children can then record this information on their own individual paper.
Once the children have recorded the information in their own way, they can be encouraged to explain and interpret the marks they have made and explore the different ways numbers can be represented.
More and less - Using the number cards to 20, ask children to feed the alien one more or one less than a given number.
Capacity - Alien Milkshakes. Can you help the aliens find which milkshake is theirs?
Learn a new song - I'm a Little Alien Nursery rhyme.
Make your own flying alien! You will need a coloured balloon; marker pen; toilet roll and sticky tape. Follow the instructions and have a go.
Make me an alien! - Can you make me an alien with 4 eyes, 3 arms, 2 legs, green hair and a blue body? (Keep this safe for the end of the week)
